PROJECT INFRASTRUCTURE COORDINATOR
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Project Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects that support mining operations. This role involves coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders to achieve project objectives efficiently and safely.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
Assisting in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with mining operation goals and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating project activities, resources, and information to ensure seamless execution and adherence to timelines, minimizing disruption to mining operations.
• Acting as a liaison between project teams, management, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, schedules, contracts, and meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Ensuring all project activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards and mining regulations.
• Identifying potential project risks and assisting in developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on mining operations.
• Tracking project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting issues arising and/or delays.
• Providing administrative and logistical support to project teams, including organizing meetings, coordinating resources, and managing project logistics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
Bachelor’s degree with majors in Electronic Information Engineering, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in project coordination with previous project management or similar experience in the mining industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
• Chinese and English language ability to work under multi-culture environment.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong understanding of mining operations and infrastructure requirements.
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment and able to coordinate multi-disciplined teams.
• Highly developed organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to draft overview reports to reflect project status, key issues to stakeholders.
• Assisting in monitoring the project progress and coordinating all team members to keep workflow on track.
• Identifying key issues during the project execution process and playing a Managerial role.
• Managing and maintaining risk registers, updating new risks identified by project team members timely, and conducting regular risk update meetings to discuss the extent of risks present in the project and control methods with each area.
