Core Network Engineer
To pilot all Engineering activities related to Mobile, Technical, Radio Planning according to recommendations from Strategic Plan and yearly budget.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Design, deploy, and maintain mobile core network elements such as MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, MSS and MGW
- Total Cost of Ownership and Financial Impact Assessment of Proposed Solutions
- Collaborate with IP, RAN, transmission, and other network teams to ensure end-to-end network performance
- Manage Project delivery of core network elements within project timelines and specifications
- Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Perform software upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements as needed
- Provide technical support to team members and stakeholders
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies
- Monitor network performance and optimize core network functions to ensure high availability and reliability
- Conducting comprehensive testing to ensure network stability, performance, and security before full deployment
- Network Design & Planning: Develop and plan the architecture of the mobile core network, including capacity planning and technology upgrades
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and design such as LLDs, HLDs.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure the network complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Collaboration: Work closely with other technical teams (RAN, transmission, IT, Orange Group) and benchmark with Orange Group to get benefit of solutions already studied or tested
- Support: Provide technical support and propose competencies development of related Engineers
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the network from threats and unauthorized access
- Software & Hardware Maintenance: Lifecycle management by ensuring hardware replacements, and upgrades to ensure network stability and security
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize core network functions for efficiency and reliability
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the network from threats and unauthorized access
- Research & Development: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
- Technology Investment: To study technical and financial solution to prepare yearly budget that can provide long-term cost savings and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Telecommunication/Computer Engineering, or any other related qualification. Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
2 years of engineering (telecommunications or IT) experience.
