The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland.

ADVISOR STAKEHOLDER & CHINA RELATIONS
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Advisor Stakeholder and China relations will be responsible for fulfilling MMG’s Chinese Champion strategy, developing a close relationship with MMG’s major shareholders and Chinese background stakeholders, improving the business performance by leveraging Chinese strengths and factors, building and maintaining a positive image for Khoemacau to the Chinese and international stakeholders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Presenting a clear liaison between KCM and its major shareholders (CMC, CMN, and CNIC), responsible for information sharing to major shareholders, translation and drafting of promotional materials and news publicity, as well as compilation and drafting of reporting documents.
- Taking charge of agenda planning, reception arrangements for the senior management of major shareholders and other stakeholders, and coordination with relevant departments.
- Developing close partnership with the Chinese background stakeholders in Botswana, including but not limited to the Chinese Embassy, the Botswana Embassy in Beijing, and Chinese Enterprises Association, etc.
- Advising internal teams on Chinese business etiquette, cultural nuances, and best practices for engaging with Chinese stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
- Preparing senior leadership for China-related meetings, trips, and engagements, including briefing materials and logistical support.
- Providing Chinese translation service for all KCM reports and documentations.
- Providing Chinese interpretation service for KCM leadership team where required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant discipline (e.g., Translation, Journalism and
- Communications, International relations, Business, or Finance).
- Language skills English (essential), Mandarin (essential).
- Understanding of major shareholders and Chinese background institutions.
- Understanding of mining and KCM operations.
- Knowledge and experience in cross-cultural communication.
- Understanding of China SOE regulators and administrative institutions
