SHE Clerk – SANDFIRE RESOURCES

This position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support for HSES Department.
This position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support for HSES Department, managing records, coordinating activities and assisting with HSE initiatives within mine lease areas in accordance with the mine requirements, legal requirements, international treaties and conventions to support Motheo Mine’s no net loss approach.
Key Performance Areas:
Administrative Support
- Maintain and manage INX InControl system, in relation to events submitted, outstanding action listing, action assignment and management, with zero overdue actions.
- Manage incidents submitted in INX ensuring correct entry of details and classification, supporting documents and actions assigned.
- Manage and maintain VelocityEHS system to assign and track completion of Critical Control Verifications (CCVs).
- Maintain and manage records of HSE inspections, incidents, contractor management documents, legal appointments and training.
- Manage and track submission of Contractors HSE weekly and monthly reports.
- Prepare reports and documents related to safety and health – mining weekly reports.
- Assist with the organization and logistics for HSE meetings (HSES Leadership, Contractors HSES Meeting, SHE Reps, third party meetings) and training sessions.
- Manage safety-related correspondence and communication.
- File and organize HSE-related documents.
- Assist in procurement process by facilitating RFQs and raising PRs in Pronto.
- Assist in the implementation of the Safety Transformation Program.
- Follow up on management of high and extreme risks, ensuring that departmental and sectional risk registers are up to date.
HSES Program Support
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of HSE programs and policies.
- Support the development and distribution of HSE information.
- Assist with the investigation of workplace incidents.
- Monitor HSE compliance and reporting non-compliance issues.
- Assist with printing/re-printing of HSE materials and documents (JHAs, Take 5, Permits etc).
- Assist with service and maintenance/calibration of alcohol breathalysers.
General Office Duties
- Transcribe minutes in meetings and other HSE engagements.
- Typing, filing, and photocopying.
- Operating office equipment, such as computers, printers, and scanners.
- Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain training calendar and book training as required in collaboration with Training Dept.
- Maintain admin toolbox talks schedule and records.
- Assist with logistics for service and maintenance of HSES vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Diploma is Safety Management or related field
Experience:
- 2 years’ experience within the HSE management field.
