SHE Officer-Housekeeping Services
We are looking for a qualified and proactive SHE Officer to join our team on a cleaning contract in a mining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and enforcing compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental standards across all cleaning operations at site. The position reports to the Operations Manager and is tenable in Jwaneng.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor SHE policies, procedures, and standards in line with client and legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace inspections.
- Train and sensitize cleaning staff on safety, health, and environmental awareness.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of PPE, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Maintain SHE documentation, records, and reports for management and client.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental responsibility
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related
field. - Minimum of 2-3 years’ SHE experience, preferably in mining or industrial cleaning.
- Sound knowledge of OHS legislation, environmental management, and mine safety requirements.
- Strong communication, reporting, and training skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and enforce compliance.
- Valid driver’s license
