Assistant Accounting Manager

To assist in management reporting, analyze, compose and communicate a company’s financial position. To assist in making forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making, this includes contributing to budgeting process.

The main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the timely and reliable production of operational and financial data for OBW.
  • Produce P&L telco and the P&L consolidated for OBW.
  • Participate in the preparation of documents for the Board of Directors.
  • Ensuring that information and reporting from controlling tools comply with IFRS standards.
  • Monitoring strategic CEO’s objectives indicators for Orange Botswana.
  • Produce forecasts for Orange Botswana for the various budget phases (budget, budget update, strategic plan, Q3F).
  • Present monthly results to the EXCOM.
  • Producing the Finance and Accounting Department’s monthly contribution to the Business Review document.
  • Actively contribute to relations with OMEA.
  • Providing functional and business support to the business partners.
  • Carry out an analytical review of the trial balance with the accounting teams and suggest adjustments if necessary.
  • Validate the month’s final trial balance with the controlling manager before entering it into Magnitude.
  • Enter the income split and the main operational KPIs into Magnitude.
  • Prepare the monthly Pre-Flash and present it to the Group.
  • Prepare the monthly BR (Business Review) presentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and ACCA/CIMA Qualification
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance
