We seek a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join the Botswana Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative (BSRHI) as a Driver.
BSRHI is a research programme at the Botswana Harvard Health Partnership (BHP) which aims to address important research questions to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes among women and adolescent girls. We conduct research, provide clinical SRH services, and undertake teaching and training.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of staff, participants, and study materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transport study staff, participants, and materials to various locations including regular trips between Molepolole, Gaborone and surrounding areas.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and organizational driving policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance needs, and ensure vehicles are kept clean and in good condition.
• Assist with logistical tasks, including collection and delivery of parcels, documents, and supplies.
• Prepare vehicles for trips, including refueling and maintaining accurate trip and fuel records.
• Support fieldwork activities, including transporting research equipment and assisting team members in the field when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by study management.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 4 years of driving experience, preferably in an NGO, research, or health related setting.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of O’level Certificate.
NB: Tenable in Molepolole.
