Botswana Housing Corporation is seeking a suitable candidate for a Regional Director position within the organisation. Based in Gaborone, the organisation seeks a visionary leader who will add value and drive the strategic and operational effectiveness of the organisation’s regional office
management function.
Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer-Operations, the position is responsible for the following:
To plan, organise, coordinate, direct and manage the delivery of de-centralised business development activities, property development and estates management services at regional level, to ensure the cost-effective delivery of products and services to BHC customers.
Job Summary
- To plan, organise, coordinate, direct and manage the delivery of de-centralised business development activities, property development and estates management services at regional level.
- Compliance with systems, procedures and governance standards, achievement of business, operational and revenue targets.
- Provide head office support and performance management.
- The position is also responsible for establishing a demand for social housing; land acquisition and preparation, property development, property sales (pre and post-development), property management (tenant contract management); client liaison; customer issue management and facilities management at regional operations through management of third-party service providers.
Qualifications, Experience And Knowledge
- Education: Degree in the Built Environment, with emphasis in Estate Management/Real Estate, Property Development, or related fields.
- Post graduate qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
- Membership of a professional and internationally recognised institute.
- Minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience in property or estates management or related fields of which five (5) years should have been at middle management level.
