About the UNICEF Remote Internship Program
The UNICEF Remote Internship Program allows eligible candidates to work fully online with UNICEF teams across the world. Interns gain exposure to real development and humanitarian projects in areas such as child protection, education, communications, policy, research, emergency response, and more. The program aims to strengthen academic, professional, and personal growth while supporting UNICEF’s mission to advance children’s rights.

Type of Internship
Paid remote internship lasting between 6 and 26 weeks, available full-time or part-time.
Who Can Apply?
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program, or have graduated within the last two years.
- Show strong academic performance and motivation.
- Be proficient in at least one UNICEF working language (English, French, or Spanish).
- Not have immediate family members working with UNICEF or within their reporting line.
- Be proficient in digital collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Selection Criteria
Applicants are assessed based on eligibility, academic results, motivation, relevant skills, and how closely their background aligns with the internship role. Volunteer experience, leadership roles, or previous internships are considered an advantage.

Location
The internship is conducted fully online. In rare cases where travel is required, UNICEF may provide support for travel arrangements.
