Altamont Group Seeks Quality Assurance Specialist (Remote)

Altamont Group (AG) is recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) to support its global team in ensuring high-quality proposals, reports, client deliverables, and internal communications.

This fully remote role is open to candidates in India and four additional locations, offering an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced consultancy that works across development, research, and strategic advisory sectors.

The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring that AG’s written outputs—proposals, reports, PowerPoint presentations, social media content, website updates, and more—are clear, accurate, well-structured, and aligned with corporate standards.

Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist is ideal for candidates who excel in English writing and editing, enjoy refining documents for clarity and precision, and are highly attentive to detail. The QAS will help ensure that all client-facing and internal documentation meets AG’s quality standards, from grammar and structure to formatting and professional presentation.

Key Responsibilities

The QAS will work across proposals, reports, presentations, and internal templates. Key duties include:

1. Editing & Quality Assurance for Proposals

  • Review proposals for grammar, clarity, consistency, and overall readability
  • Ensure alignment with AG templates and donor-required sections
  • Check structure, flow, and formatting
  • Verify important details such as names, dates, figures, and headings
  • Support proposal teams by producing polished, error-free content

2. Quality Assurance for Client Deliverables

Client deliverables include reports, PowerPoint decks, and other materials shared with partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proofreading for spelling, grammar, clarity, and coherence
  • Ensuring consistent branding, formatting, templates, and styling
  • Reviewing slide decks for structure and readability
  • Conducting surface-level accuracy checks (e.g., repeated text, mismatched headings, inconsistent figures)
  • Identifying inconsistencies or missing elements and flagging them for correction
  • Ensuring final outputs are professional and client-ready

3. Internal QA Support

  • Follow established QA checklists and review procedures
  • Contribute to improving templates, style guides, and formatting standards
  • Maintain clean version control and proper naming conventions

Required Qualifications

AG is seeking a detail-oriented communicator with strong writing skills and familiarity with development-sector work. The ideal candidate will have:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in editing, document QA, communications, research support, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with research and evaluation processes
  • Experience working within humanitarian or development sectors (preferred)

Skills

  • Excellent English writing and editing abilities (Western English preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing text and formatting
  • Ability to follow templates, instructions, and style guidelines
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint

Compensation & Work Environment

  • USD 400–500 per month
  • Fully remote position
