Halaal Slaughterman Supervisor – BOTSWANA MEAT COMMISSION

An opportunity has arisen for the positions of;

HALAAL SLAUGHTERMAN SUPERVISOR – TENABLE IN LOBATSE X1

To lead a team of Halaal Operators in slaughtering of cattle within Botswana Meat Commission in accordance with Islamic law.

KEY TASKS:

  • Implements Halaal procedures in line with set Botswana Meat Commission standards to ensure products are produced as per specification.

  • Inducts Operators on simple online duties and use of tools to ensure compliance

  • Issues and care for tools (knives) on daily basis to ensure proper use and security.

  • Reports any discrepancies or deviations on Halaal requirements to Production Controller to ensure minimal disruption to processing.

  • Monitors production process at all times to ensure that slaughtering of animals is done according to the Halaal requirements.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • BGCSE or equivalent,

  • Islamic Secondary School Certificate

  • Member of Botswana Muslim Association.

  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in slaughter-related operations, at least five (5) of which must be in compliance with UAE standards and/or NHIT requirements.
