Ensure compliance with finance processes, procedures and policies.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To approve all General ledger schedules supporting the trial balance and ensure sub modules (accounts payable and receivable and cash management) have been reconciled and closed). The incumbent will also be responsible for preparation of the Fund’s financial reports.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
PAYABLES
- Ensure accuracy of loan book maintenance by verifying all payment transactions before updating the loans management system (payment runs).
- Amend loan conditions after disbursements as per the offer letter to ensure correct account balances
- Ensure that termination balances are prepared and checked for accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy and timely execution of disbursement, refunds and sundry payments processes, including updating customer accounts.
- Attend to minor Customer queries and make necessary corrections in customer accounts.
- Timely submission of reports Rescheduled Loans Reports) as per OLA or as and when requested by BUs.
- Ensure deduction from source instructions are submitted on their due dates.
- Reduction of error rate in execution of work processes measured by Control Index
RECEIVABLES
- Ensure accurate execution of bank reconciliation for Bank accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of customer accounts with receipts, invoicing of fees and payoffs and daily clearing of BO GLs
- Attend to Customer queries and make necessary corrections in customer accounts.
- Provide accurate monthly Collections report for product performance analysis.
- Prepare Monthly Provision for pure credits schedule and make journal entries in Oracle.
- Ensure direct debits and government instructions are submitted on their due dates.
- Reduction of error rate in execution of work processes measured by Control Index
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or any relevant degree
- Must be in good standing with Accounting Regulator bodies.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Financial Institution.
