Position: Assistant Fitter

Overview:
MMG-Khoemacau Copper Mining is looking for a motivated Assistant Fitter to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems related to water treatment plants, boreholes, and distribution systems. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of qualified Fitters in a safety-focused and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in fitting, assembling, and maintaining water pumps and pipelines.
-Support inspections and preventative maintenance of water treatment plants and boreholes.
-Help identify faults and perform basic mechanical repairs under supervision.
-Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
-Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised workspaces and tools.
Requirements and Skills:
-Trade Test B Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or Certificate in Civil/Water Engineering or related qualification.
-Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical support role.
-Experience in maintaining water systems is preferred.
-Basic understanding of water treatment processes.
-Familiarity with borehole operations and pipeline maintenance.
-Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and comply with safety protocols.
