The position is responsible for providing high-quality communication, brand positioning and management, promoting brand reputation to enhance business growth.

The position is responsible for providing high-quality communication, brand positioning and management, promoting brand reputation to enhance business growth. The role will be responsible for delivering the company’s internal and external communications strategy, working across numerous areas including social media platforms, website management, communications, brand and media.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Support with the coordination and delivery of the company’s internal and external communications strategy.
  • Work with stakeholders to source information, resources and approvals for content pieces.
  • Craft engaging, compelling and factually accurate content pieces for both internal and external publication.
  • Conducts event coverage for company functions and activities.
  • Write, edit and draft the company’s quarterly global newsletter and all publications.
  • Assist with the delivery and implementation of internal and external communication campaigns.
  • Planning and producing event briefs.
  • Responsible for representing the Company at external functions.
  • Responsible for managing conferences from bump-in to bump-out, including coordination with stakeholders, management of merchandise, brand image reputation, value and collateral.
  • Support with advertisements and branded collateral requests.
  • Facilitates procurement of external services in the area of responsibility.
  • Support with website management, social scheduling, and media monitoring.
  • Adheres to all safety, health and environmental procedures in the area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Media, Public Relations, or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 3 years’ post qualification related experience.
  • Experience with creating visual content to communicate messages and ideas.
  • Experience in event management and brand management.

Technical/Behavioural Competencies:

  • Stakeholder and Communication Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging, compelling and factual content pieces for publication.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills.
  • Experience and/or a strong understanding of content management systems, digital and social media platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work towards strict deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and work collaboratively with different business units and stakeholders.
  • Experience with branding and/or a strong understanding of the importance of consistent branding within an organisation.
  • Public and Media Relations, Social Media.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, particularly Word and Power Point as well as Graphic design applications.
  • Innovation & Initiative.
  • Planning, Coordination and Execution.
