Electrician (Trades Assistant) – SANDFIRE RESOURCES

The position is responsible for providing assistance with general maintenance of electrical equipment in accordance with the mine requirements, legal requirements to support Motheo Mine.

Key Performance Areas:

• Provide support and assistance to Artisan Electricians.
• General work assisting the Electrician including site preparation and clearance and maintaining general site tidiness and assisting as directed by the electrician.
• Assisting with installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unload and check deliveries and undertaking tasks to assisting electrician generally.
• Carry out duties as directed by the supervisor or line manager to the best of ability, having consideration for the needs of colleagues and the Organisation and its clients/customers.
• Obey all lawful and reasonable orders given and comply with the Organisation’s rules, procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

• Trade Test C& B in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Light Duty Vehicles Driver’s License.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years working experience.

Technical/Behavioural Competencies:

• • Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.

• Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role.
• Understand and deliver good customer service.
• Good attention to detail.
• Cooperative.
