SDDS BOTSWANA a Diamond Cutting, and Polishing Factory seeks suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant position:
We are seeking a dynamic Factory Manager for our diamond cutting and polishing facility, to drive excellence in production, safety, and strategic operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved
• Drive operational efficiency, profitability, and safety across all factory functions
• Lead and inspire department heads and operational teams
• Champion cost control, continuous improvement, and innovation initiatives
• Implement and monitor output/quality-based bonus systems to enhance performance
• Optimize production planning, scheduling, and capacity management
• Elevate effectiveness in staffing, equipment, tools, and methodologies
• Maintain strong relationships with local authorities and external stakeholders
• Provide strategic oversight of technical services and operational departments
• Evaluate performance and cost metrics, applying strategic management principles
• Enforce safety, environmental, risk, and security policies and procedures
• Foster team synergy, manage diversity, and promote a high-performance culture
• Uphold Signet’s commitment to responsible sourcing and ethical standards
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in factory or operations management, preferably in manufacturing or precision industries
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Competent in financial and general management reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with Labor Relations
• Commitment to ethical sourcing
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• 15 years’ management and leadership experience in Diamond manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.
