Human Resources Manager – PREMIUM RESOURCES BOTSWANA

Premium Resources Botswana (PRB), a subsidiary of NexMetals Mining, is a dynamic and rapidly growing exploration and mining company focused on the exploration and development of base metals, with operations centered in Selebi Phikwe. As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function and support our people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the HR function across the mine site.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with PRB’s operational objectives.
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and retention programs.
- Ensure compliance with Botswana Labour Laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Champion employee relations, performance management, and grievance resolution processes.
- Drive workforce planning initiatives and organisational development.
- Support line management in change management and cultural transformation efforts.
- Manage HR systems, payroll interface, and HR reporting.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on people and culture matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ HR experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably within the mining sector.
- Postgraduate qualification in HR or Business Administration.
- HR professional certification (e.g. IPM, SHRM, CIPD).
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll management.
- Exposure to remote site or camp-based HR operations.
- Solid knowledge of Botswana labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in managing HR in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary work environment.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
