- Position: INFECTION PREVENTION & CONTROL NURSE
Salary Scale: C1 (P183, 408 – P 218, 184 per annum)
Qualifications: Diploma in General Nursing
Post Basic qualification in Infection Prevention & Control
Experience: At least 4 years post qualification experience, two (2) of which should have practised as infection control nurse.
Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinates the Infection Control Programme
• Monitors and implements infection prevention and control standards
• Conducts monthly disease surveillance
• Organize in-service training and workshops for staff education on infection control
• Organize and chairs infection prevention and control meetings
• Conducts infection walkabouts, hygiene inspections and audits.
