Bango Trading (Pty) Ltd is engaged in the construction and general maintenance of bitumen paved roads, including new construction and surfacing works. The company is seeking qualified professionals to join its team for various positions.
1. Road Asset Manager/Quality Assurance Manager
Main Purpose:
To manage conformance/quality management of the road project and develop quality control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the Forward Work Programme, including identification and scheduling of major interventions.
- Monitor network performance, assess pavement deterioration, and recommend required maintenance.
- Address disputes and conflicts during project execution and facilitate resolution with stakeholders.
- Execute other tasks aligned with service requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Highway Engineering or a related field
- Valid ERB practicing certificate
- Valid Class B driver’s license
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in road network construction and maintenance
2. Site Engineer
Main Purpose:
To oversee and manage construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to contractors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for project execution.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety, and quality standards.
- Oversee material procurement and resource allocation.
- Manage project documentation and progress reports.

- Contract management knowledge
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Highway Engineering or a related field
- Valid ERB practicing certificate
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 7 years in road construction
3. Measurement Engineer
Main Purpose:
To ensure accurate measurement and quantification of construction materials and work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate measurements for proper billing.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on measurements.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and compliance records.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Ensure precise measurements and adherence to standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Valid ERB practicing certificate

4. Materials Engineer
Main Purpose:
To ensure the quality and appropriateness of materials used in projects meet standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper material selection and quality assurance.
- Monitor material testing and compliance with standards.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure material suitability.
- Prepare reports and quality assessments.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to material usage.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Valid ERB practicing certificate
