Position: Leading Hand Electrician – Underground

Location: Zone 5 Mine Site, between Maun and Sehithwa, Ngamiland, Botswana

Overview:
JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. is seeking a Leading Hand Electrician – Underground to lead a team in maintaining underground electrical infrastructure and ensuring safe and effective installation and repairs. This role involves both supervision and hands-on work in a high-performance, mechanized mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Supervise underground electricians to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.

-Conduct installations, fault-finding, and repairs on LV/HV electrical equipment.

-Diagnose and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner.

-Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and inspections.

-Collaborate with maintenance planners to align electrical tasks with production needs.

-Maintain accurate records and logs of work conducted.

Requirements and Skills:

-Minimum 10 years’ experience in underground electrical roles.

-Electrical Trade Certificate with exposure to 1000V, 11kV, and 400V systems.

-Proven experience in maintaining LV/HV installations and mine electrical systems.

-Skilled in diagnostics, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting.

-Team leadership and mentoring skills.

-Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.

-Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
