Overview:
Redpath Botswana, a leader in underground mining services, is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Maintenance Coordinator for the Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the maintenance crew to ensure mechanical equipment is maintained according to approved safety standards, while optimizing reliability and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure materials are ordered in correct quantities and delivered on time to the proper locations
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records for all equipment
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities
- Maintain adequate spare parts to prevent downtime
- Execute efficient equipment repairs to meet required standards
- Collaborate with the electrical supervisor for machinery-related services
- Maintain a stable maintenance workforce
- Act as the first point of grievance for maintenance crew in the absence of the Maintenance Superintendent
Requirements and Skills:
- Mechanical Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with underground mining equipment and large maintenance teams
- Ability to operate all mobile equipment for maintenance
- Proven leadership in continuous improvement and innovation environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Heavy mobile equipment experience
- Valid Driver’s License, First Aid & CPR certification
