Applications are invited from suitably and self-motivated, energetic and innovative qualified persons for the below post tenable at Makoro Brick in Palapye.

MAINTENANCE FITTER & TURNER X4

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on clay brick production machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Work closely with production staff to ensure smooth operations

Required Experience:

Must have proven experience working with the following machinery:

• Steel 90 Extruder
• Clay Feeders
• Clay Mixers
• Brick Side Cutters
• Conveyors
• Brick Packaging Equipment

Qualifications & Skills:

• Trade-tested Fitter or relevant mechanical qualification
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in tool care, a similar role within a clay brick or similar heavy industrial environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem- solving skills
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
