SDDS BOTSWANA a Diamond Cutting, and Polishing Factory seeks suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant position:
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our diamond processing facility’s critical equipment and tools. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of specialized machinery used in diamond cutting and polishing.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and complete all maintenance service requests and preventative inspections.
• Supervise and implement proactive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair diamond tools and machines including bruting, dialit, laser faceting/sawing, sarin dimension, lathe, scouring, carving, and grinding equipment.
• Recondition, calibrate, and balance scaives to ensure smooth operation and high-quality output.
• Manage scaife inventory and preparation for diamond cutting.
• Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with standards and timelines.
• Foster a collaborative, safety-first team culture with strong communication and performance coaching.
• Mentor and train team members to build technical competencies and improve workplace performance.
• Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor the maintenance team’s daily workload.
• Act as the liaison between the maintenance team and management, raising quality and production concerns proactively.
Safety & Compliance
• Uphold all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Promote a secure and accident-free work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
• NCC in Electrical Engineering, Carpentry, or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Valid class B driver’s license
• Proven experience in scaife, dialit, laser, and bruting machine maintenance.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Basic English writing and fluent spoken English.
• Willingness to work extended hours when needed.

• Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
