Occupational Health Nurse – MMG-KHOEMACAU COPPER MINING

4) OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE X3 BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing health services to employees by providing primary health care, occupational health services, emergency care, health promotion, and managing workplace injuries and illnesses.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your key accountabilities include:
– Providing on-site primary health care, emergency response, and coordinating referrals.
– Assessment, triage, treatment, and exit medicals in accordance to protocols and Mine standards (including sick bays and clinics).
– Coordinating emergency evacuation, injuries, and workplace accidents.
– Identifying workplace health hazards and managing chronic illnesses.
– Liaison with doctors regarding patient management and clinical pathways.
– Health risk education, wellness programs and occupational health initiatives.
– Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with company standards, regulations and internal health policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
– Minimum Degree/Diploma in General Nursing/ Occupational Health Nursing
– Minimum of 5 years experience at least 2 of which must be at Post Occupational Health

Qualifications
– Auditory skills
– Spirometry skills
– Basic Life Support skills
