Talent & Culture Coach (HR Field) – KFC BOTSWANA

Location: Gaborone | Closing Date: 30 July 2025

The Talent & Culture Coach provides support to the HR Lead to drive recruitment excellence and improve employee experience across a regional network of restaurants. The role is responsible for talent acquisition, employee development, engagement, culture-building, and ensuring HR service excellence. This role serves as a key link between operations and HR, supporting the implementation of strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness and team capability at restaurant level.

 

2. Key Performance Areas:

A. Talent Acquisition & Management (35%)

  • Manage recruitment, selection, and placement for Team Members to Shift Supervisors.
  • Source talent through relevant recruitment channels and manage job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and job offers.
  • Participate in interviews with RGMs and assess recruitment capability.
  • Track and maintain recruitment records and reporting.
  • Assist in driving internal talent pipeline at SS level.
  • Support the implementation of talent initiatives aligned to HR strategy.
  • Facilitate performance management processes and appraisals.

B. Engagement & Culture (20%)

  • Drive onboarding and orientation within restaurants.
  • Improve engagement by leveraging EES feedback and action plans, especially in the bottom 10% performing stores.
  • Implement and maintain the culture calendar and HWWT business culture initiatives.
  • Support and facilitate the IDP cycle at RGM level.
  • Promote teamwork and staff morale through culture champions.

C. Building Capability Support (20%)

  • Collaborate with the Training Department to assess and build restaurant team capabilities.
  • Conduct capability assessments and develop action plans to address gaps.
  • Support Area Capability reviews and ensure management certifications are completed.
  • Develop plans to address staffing and training needs.

D. Employee Relations & Organisational Effectiveness (15%)

  • Maintain HR systems and routines to drive consistent communication.
  • Conduct store visits and apply the FEED process to resolve issues beyond single restaurants.
  • Provide administrative support for Consequence and Grievance Management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Act as the HR technical expert in sensitive ER matters, using sound judgment and effective investigations.
  • Champion equitable treatment and policy compliance.

E. Business Partnership (10%)

  • Build strong partnerships with RGMs, Area Coaches, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HRBP, Talent Manager, and ER Manager to drive HR metrics.
  • Manage payroll and HR admin activities for equity employees.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (High School Diploma) – Required
  • Diploma in Human Resources or related field – Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR – Preferred

Minimum Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in HR and/or training.
  • Previous experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry is an advantage.
