Bolux Group requires the services of a qualified, experienced Electrician – (Apprentice).
Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, your responsibility will be to undertake reactive and preventative electrical maintenance work for the Intake, Mill, Instant plant, Packing and Bakery and site to ensure that it runs efficiently.
Your Principal Responsibilities Shall Include the Following:
- Undertake daily inspection of key machinery as part of the preventative maintenance program.
- Complete job cards and registers as required by legislation and regulations.
- Make requests for spares components for use in maintenance work.
- Stripping and overhauling of motors and machinery.
- Maintain and repair boiler heads and burners.
- Electronic maintenance and programming of PLC’s.
- Undertake AC drive installations.
- Load cells and amplifier cards.
- Undertake Flow meter calibrations and pressure switch calibrations.
- Lay/run cables and wire electrical panel in accordance with requirements.
- Maintain compliance with organisational and statutory health and safety policies and procedures in area of operation.
- Participate actively in the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs in order to contribute to company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have National Craft Certificate /Diploma in Electrical or equivalent relevant Engineering Diploma. The position does not require any experience but experience in the FMCG and manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
The Candidate Must Also;
- Have good communication skills.
- Have basic numeracy skills.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Be observant and compliant.
- Have the ability to read the electrical drawings, for information.
- Have knowledge of machine shop / workshop operations.
