Public Relations Officer – SAVE Wildlife Conservation Fund

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public relations and communications strategies.
  • Promote SAVE programmes, achievements and impact.
  • Prepare press releases, newsletters, website content, reports and social media posts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media houses, partners, communities, donors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate media engagements, public events, campaigns and awareness activities.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide regular communications reports.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications platforms.
  • Capture and share compelling stories, photographs, and videos from conservation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in conservation, environmental, or NGOs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of Setswana is an added advantage.
  • Strong digital, social media, photography and content-creation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Competent literate – Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across all SAVE project areas.
  • Proven 4×4/off-road driving experience.
  • Passion for wildlife conservation and community development.
