Ausdrill Mining Surface (AMS) has been in operation in Africa since 1993, initially starting in Ghana. AMS has expanded its operations over the years into other countries in West Africa and now Southern Africa.

In line with an opportunity that has presented itself in our Botswana operations, we are seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates to join our team. These positions will be based at the Motheo Copper Project, located in Gantsi, Botswana.

We are actively seeking to recruit several experienced mining personnel for the following positions.

Maintenance Artisans

Available Positions

• Heavy Plant Mechanic – Drills
• Heavy Plant Mechanic – Diggers
• Heavy Plant Mechanic – CAT
• Auto Mechanic
• Auto Electrician
• Refrigeration Mechanic

Job Summary

Artisans shall be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The incumbents will be responsible for the following:

• Carry out maintenance of plant and equipment as stipulated in the relevant maintenance procedures, statutory and domestic regulations, and in accordance with OEM’s specifications.
• Carry out daily inspections and submit reports to the Supervisor or planning section so that proper planning can be carried out, and immediately rectify faults or deviations that require urgent attention.
• Change or replace equipment components to OEM-recommended component change-out standards, and conduct testing and commissioning of components after installation.
• Perform installation of parts or components and commissioning of equipment as per set engineering standards.
• Assist the Supervisor daily in the monitoring of equipment application and operation and report any deviations for correction.
• Undertake tasks assigned safely, in recognition and application of Health, Safety and Environment (HSEQ) standards in all maintenance activities in order to eliminate risks and environmental impact.

Job Requirements

• 4 years Apprenticeship with an NCC qualification
• At least 2 years practical experience as an Artisan in a dynamic industry
• Must have a valid Class B driver’s license
