Farm Manager – SANDFIRE RESOURCES

This position is responsible for overseeing the effective management, maintenance, security of agricultural land and associated assets. The role ensures the land is kept in optimal condition for present and future use while maintaining infrastructure, equipment and overall site integrity.

Key Performance Areas:

• Monitor and maintain land quality, including fencing, drainage and access roads.
• Implement land improvement programs were needed.
• Maintain fire breaks and perimeter boundaries.
• Coordinate with general labours, contractors or specialists for land work when required.
• Implement and oversee adherence to security protocols to protect land, structures and equipment.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, vandalism or theft and responding accordingly.
• Liaise with local authorities and Tshukudu Metals Botswana (TMB) security personal when necessary.
• Maintain and service farm machinery, tools and infrastructure regularly to ensure operational reliability.
• Keep accurate records of farm equipment inventory, servicing, repairs and replacement.
• Ensure all equipment and structures comply with TMB safety and operational standards.
• Supervise Farm Assistants or Contractors performing field work, repairs or security functions.
• Maintain logs and reports on land condition, incidents, maintenance activities and expenditures.

Qualification and Experience:

• Formal training in Agricultural Management, Land Management or related fields desirable.

• Valid Botswana Class B Drivers Licence is required; ability to operate machinery and utility vehicles.
• 3-5 Years’ Proven experience in land management, agriculture or farm maintenance.
• Strong understanding of agricultural equipment and related infrastructure.
• Experience working in remote or rural environments.
