Main Purpose of the Job
To provide strategic leadership and execution oversight for EICB, translating the Company’s business model, value proposition and strategic priorities into bankable opportunities, high-impact transformation programmes, sustainable partnerships, investment decisions and measurable commercial value.
The role serves as a critical integrator across strategy, investments, business development, transformation, commercialisation and performance management, ensuring that EICB operates as an agile, commercially disciplined and opportunity-driven investment company capable of delivering its mandate and long-term value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, execution and continuous refinement of EICB’s corporate strategy and ensure that organisational performance is aligned to the Company’s strategic targets, investment mandate and value proposition.
- Lead enterprise transformation and ensure that EICB’s strategic, investment and growth portfolio is actively managed to deliver measurable business outcomes, improved organisational capability and sustainable value.
- Build and convert a sustainable pipeline of strategic opportunities, partnerships and commercial relationships that expand EICB’s investment footprint, strengthen its market position and create new sources of value.
- Drive commercially disciplined investment and transaction decisions that optimise capital deployment, risk-adjusted returns and long-term portfolio value in support of EICB’s strategic objectives.
- Build a high-performing strategy, transformation & business development function capable of delivering the Company’s strategic targets through excellence, accountability, innovation and effective leadership.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Strategy or other relevant discipline.
- A management development programme certificate, or equivalent
- A relevant Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Strategy or a related discipline an advantage.
Required Experience
- 10-15 Years relevant professional experience, with substantial experience in strategy, investment, corporate development, business development, transformation, mining, natural resources, infrastructure, financial services or a related investment environment.
- Of which 5-8 years in a senior management/executive leadership role with responsibility for strategy, investment, commercial management, business development or enterprise transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing corporate strategies and translating strategy into measurable business results.
