Collection and Recoveries Officer x3 – BBS BANK LIMITED

The Collections and Recoveries Officer position is responsible for engaging customers to recover and manage debt, to reduce arrears and non perfoming loans book as per the bank policies and procedures.

Key Performance Areas:

• To ensure that daily assigned arrears accounts are actioned and collections system updated accordingly.
• To monitor payments arrangements between the bank and the customer and ensure customer adhere to payment arrangements to avoid legal action taken against the customer.
• Optimize recovery cash flows by implementing effective and timely actioning of accounts.
• Monitor service providers (Lawyers, External Debt Collectors and Property Valuers performance on daily basis through reports and address deviation to performance immediately.
• Conduct monthly performance discussion with service providers in relation to arrangement made, legal process progress as per agreed SLA.
• Close off all settled accounts and ensure timely preparation of settlement requests.
•  Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Identify risks in the department and escalate to the relevant department for contingency planning.
• Diligently resolve queries and complaints arising from customers, internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepares and submits monthly reports.

Qualifications:

• A Diploma in any business-related field.

Experience:

• At least 2 years experience in banking, financial, credit or debt recovery.
